Garnica information on EUDR

Garnica is fully committed to aligning with the European Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) requirements. Our dedicated team ensures a smooth transition to new procedures and standards

EUDR in a nutshell

The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) was created to promote responsible sourcing of commodities, prevent deforestation and illegal logging, and ensure transparency across the supply chain. Its ultimate goal: guarantee that only deforestation-free products are placed on the EU market. To comply, companies must:

  • Be deforestation and forest degradation free
  • Comply with relevant laws
  • Be covered by a Due Diligence Statement (DDS)
  • Upload their DDS to the EU-wide system

Worried about EUDR?

Choosing the right supply chains:

  • Direct Sourcing Advantage: Our in-house forestry team secures the majority of our wood directly from landowners.
  • Integration of most advanced technologies (GIS, remote sensing, LIDAR)
  • Traceability through the whole manufacturing process via production ERP.
Garnica has full traceability of timber supply chains from plantations to the final product:

Due Diligence Statement

Garnica will submit the Due Diligence Statement to the EU system both for raw materials (logs) and the finished product (plywood). As a customer you will receive the necessary DDS numbers of our plywood stated on the invoice. We are also developing a digital format/repository where you can obtain the same DDS numbers.

Example for an Efficiency poplar plywood panel.
