EUDR in a nutshell
The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) was created to promote responsible sourcing of commodities, prevent deforestation and illegal logging, and ensure transparency across the supply chain. Its ultimate goal: guarantee that only deforestation-free products are placed on the EU market. To comply, companies must:
- Be deforestation and forest degradation free
- Comply with relevant laws
- Be covered by a Due Diligence Statement (DDS)
- Upload their DDS to the EU-wide system
Worried about EUDR?
Choosing the right supply chains:
- Direct Sourcing Advantage: Our in-house forestry team secures the majority of our wood directly from landowners.
- Integration of most advanced technologies (GIS, remote sensing, LIDAR)
- Traceability through the whole manufacturing process via production ERP.

Due Diligence Statement
Garnica will submit the Due Diligence Statement to the EU system both for raw materials (logs) and the finished product (plywood). As a customer you will receive the necessary DDS numbers of our plywood stated on the invoice. We are also developing a digital format/repository where you can obtain the same DDS numbers.
Example for an Efficiency poplar plywood panel.
